In a mythic Yoruba kingdom, King Adeyiga rules through fear, bound to a hungry spirit that grants him power at a steep price. His enforcer, the warlord Olori Ogun, crushes rivals and keeps restless chiefs in line, chained to a sacred covenant he dare not break. But a secret inside the palace, tangled with the queen and the succession, begins to surface. As loyalty and blood collide, king and warlord edge toward a reckoning neither can escape.
