Inspired by real life events, When a sick Liberian-American diplomat arrives at a Lagos hospital with symptoms that turn out to be Ebola, physician Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh insists on testing him despite political pressure to release him. As the diagnosis is confirmed, her medical team scrambles to isolate patients, trace contacts, and convert an unequipped ward into an emergency facility, while doctors, nurses, and their families face fear and exposure in a race to keep West Africa's Ebola crisis from engulfing Nigeria's largest city.
